Mike Burton is a senior IT consultant with over 30 years of experience developing, consulting, and training on software for a wide range of businesses from SMEs to major investment banks.

Since earning his Honours degree in Computer Science, Mike has evolved with the rapidly changing technology landscape. He specializes in Java Spring and Angular development, while maintaining expertise in numerous other areas including data analysis, information architecture, and AI implementation. His recent work includes designing AI Agents and leading AI Adoption workshops for various business sectors.

Mike has enhanced critical systems for organizations like Greylist Trace, Cassian Capital, and the Alliance Against Counterfeit Spirits, consistently delivering significant improvements in reliability and performance. He has trained and mentored hundreds of software developers at companies including Deloitte Ireland, American Express Europe, and Cisco Systems, with his ability to explain complex technology being particularly valued by his students and clients.

His long-standing experience in understanding business challenges remains equally applicable in today’s modern environment. Mike brings a practical approach to implementing cutting-edge technologies, helping organizations navigate their digital transformation journeys.

When not talking about computers or to them, Mike enjoys relaxing by taking long walks and cycling in nature, or occasionally racing go-karts.
